John Hadermayer

General Counsel

John serves as the firm’s General Counsel. Prior to joining Kensington, John served as SVP of Legal Services at Tidal Financial, a financial services firm that specializes in helping investment managers create and operate exchange-traded funds (ETFs). 

John also previously served as Associate General Counsel at AQR Capital Management, a global investment management firm, where he primarily worked on the firm’s proprietary mutual fund products as well as its registered fund sub-advisory relationships.

John has also worked in U.S. Bank’s regulatory administration department, where he served as Secretary for one of US Bank’s sponsored mutual fund trusts. John has broad legal experience with registered funds, including matters related to registration statements, regulations, fund governance and contracts.
